Queens Is Taking Over the USMNT as Former St. John’s Star Tim Parker Debuts

TIM PARKER QUEEEENS

A week after Rosedale’s Timothy Weah earned his first start and notched his first goal for the US Men’s National Team, the lineup included another young Tim with Queens roots: former St. John’s star fullback Tim Parker.

Parker, who grew up in Hicksville and now plays for the Red Bulls, earned his first cap for the US when he entered the game as a substitute in the 61st minute of a 2-1 loss to Ireland.

Parker had made the USMNT roster two times before but never appeared in a game. He’s only the third-ever Johnny to join the national team, along with Connor Lade and Chris Wingert.
